FordDirect and its team members have a strong tradition of charitable giving through the FordDirect Cares committee, having donated more than $75,000 to worthy causes over the last couple of years alone. Continuing this tradition, FordDirect Cares has announced it is hosting the second annual FordDirect Cares Charity Golf Outing on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 8 a.m. at Fox Hills in Plymouth, Mich.
This year’s outing will raise money for two causes that directly impact two of our employees and their families:
- Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) Fund at Mott Children’s Hospital: a rare lung disease that causes frequent lung, sinus and ear infections, chronic coughing and eventually, scarring of the lungs (bronchiectasis). VP, Performance Marketing Brett McEwen’s daughter is affected by PCD and had recently been hospitalized due to severe symptoms. Read his story here.
- International FPIES (Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome) Association: a rare type of food allergy that affects the gastrointestinal tract and causes severe reactions that can require immediate medical attention. Solutions Manager Matt Schweizer’s son Nico has FPIES and his family has been actively involved with fighting this illness. Read his story here.
FordDirect Cares’ Charity Golf Outing is open to everyone interested in helping FordDirect raise money for charity. FordDirect will donate $25 per golfer to be split between the charity beneficiaries.
Outing Information
The golf outing information is below and the event registration site is located at FordDirectCares.com. The outing will have a four-person scramble format with registration starting at 8 a.m. and a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Non-golfers that would like to participate can register to attend just the dinner, which will be served around 2:30 p.m.
Ticket prices are the following:
