Joe Lorenz is assistant general counsel at FordDirect. In this role, he is responsible for contract management and negotiation, corporate organization, and commercial transaction matters. Joe has experience as legal counsel to senior management of dozens of manufacturing and service entities on all aspects of corporate transactions, commercial law, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining FordDirect in 2015, Joe worked in Ford Motor Company’s Office of the General Counsel Corporate Transactions Practice Group for 12 years and spent 18 years in private practice as outside counsel for Ford, General Motors, Kia Motors, FordDirect, and various automotive suppliers.

Joe holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. Joe is also certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as an information privacy professional (CIPP).
